SESSIONS

The Session

Sessions take place in and around your home, or at an offsite location.  Portland has so many to choose from!  If you need ideas on where you could do your session just ask : )  When I come over to chat, I’ll meet your kiddos, unload my camera bag, and then scout out your house for great patches of natural light.  The session will last for about an hour and half to two hours.   I do offer a discounted session rate for sessions that occur during the weekdays rather than the weekends.

Think about the things you like to do as a family.  Do you bake cookies together?  Go down the street for ice cream?  Play games?  Lets document that!  During your session it is my goal to photograph your family having fun and being yourselves.

Newborn Sessions

I love them.  I have fallen in love with photographing newborns and in my experience have found that brand new babies run the show!  A newborn session will last longer than a typical session because we leave time for nursing, diaper changing, coddling, etc.  Newborn sessions are completed during the first two weeks of life.  Why?  Because it is during this time that they are the most sleepy and will curl up all cute!  When you book a newborn session I will enter your due date into my calendar and then squeeze you in whenever the baby arrives.  Did you just have your baby?  That’s okay – give me a call; I may be able to fit you in!
