SATURDAY BALL

Last Saturday we spent the afternoon with my sister-in-law and her kids.  Tammy is Greg’s oldest sister and she and Jeff have three of the cutest kids EVER.  I had fun taking random photos on my iPhone while Greg played a little ball in the culdasac with the kids.

WEDDING ALBUMS | PORTLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

To end this week I want to share a couple wedding albums with you!  These are two of my studio samples that I bring with me when I meet a bride and groom to show them the two different album choices that I offer.  This is the same album design in the two different styles: coffee table and library bound.  Shown first is a 10×10 20-page coffee table album with lay-flat pages and a custom cover.  The second is a 10×10 20-page library bound album with a cover from the Garbo Collection in Black Gold.  The library bound albums come in a variety of different cover choices.  You choose the one that compliments your wedding the best!

If you have any questions about the albums or would like more information please send me an email at katie@ka-photography.com

MATT & PATTY | PORTLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

This past summer my friend Kim O’Neil and I second shot a couple weddings with each other.  She was privileged with this stunning wedding outside of Eugene at Sweet Cheeks Winery and I was fortunate to come along and shoot with her!  It was mid-September and the lighting was every photographers dream.  All of the portraits were taken at the most optimal time to use natural light – right before sunset!  The setting was gorgeous.  Rolling hills, vineyards, and blue skies as far as the eye could see.  Matt and Patty were darling together and their joy and love for each other was so apparent.

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.  John 15: 12

http://www.nicolepavey.com - What a beautiful wedding! You did a wonderful job capturing the emotion!

BRIDAL PORTRAITS

These photographs were taken a while ago, but I still have to share.  My photographer friend, Sara, and I chose an evening last October to practice shooting.  So we dragged our husbands along, dressed them up a bit, took out our wedding dresses, and bought some sweet yellow flowers.  This evening in early October ended up having the most beautiful light!!  The photos were taken out at Kruger Farms on Sauvie Island.  *Sigh* I can’t wait for longer days like this again.

If you have a wedding dress and you didn’t get the photos that you had hoped for or you are getting married soon and would like to do something different beforehand, shoot me an email and lets talk about Bridal Portraits!

Rendy - Um. . . I want to see the ones of you. :)

Rachel - Now, if only I had the long hair to do the way I had it for my wedding… oh, and the body. I’m not sure how my wedding dress would fit these days!

Katherine - *Sigh* I love these. What a lovely idea. My favorite is the one with the strawberry.

ERIK & HEATHER | PORTLAND MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHER

Erik and Heather are having a baby!  Do you remember the gorgeous weather we had last week?  Well, I was lucky enough to have scheduled their maternity shoot right smack dab in the middle of it.  They met me with their doggie, Blue, at Cathedral Park in St. Johns.   We had a lovely afternoon basking in the setting sun.  Just look at all this sun flare.  And, no, Heather does not just carry around fuschia sunglasses with bright illustrations on the side in her purse…these were a special found item – a memento, if you will : )

These two are keeping plenty busy doing some remodeling at home before baby arrives next month.  I think the shoot was a welcome break from it all.

Keep your eyes out for precious girly newborn-ness here on the blog in the coming weeks ; )  But for now, check out this one gorgeous mama!

Bev Crosby - What an amazing portfolio! What a beautiful mommy… what a handsome loving daddy. The love and joy expressed in these photos makes it hard to choose any favorites.

Rendy - So very pretty. What a beautiful pregnant woman, btw. I can’t believe she’s only got one month to go! My faves are the one with the major sunflare- bw, the one of her peeking from behind those beautiful vines, and the one with them nose to nose on the driftwood. She will cherish those forever!

Heather - We were lucky to have beautiful weather in February and even more lucky to have these photos taken by you at this special time. You captured such great moments, our love and the light that day. Thanks so much Katie! I’ll keep you posted on our baby girl’s arrival.
