Sydney is almost one! Where did this tiny squishy newborn go?? She has grown up into a sweet baby girl! I so enjoyed catching up with this family. Sydney’s birthday party is coming up and I hope it’s her best one yet! ; )

Congratulations Andrew and Cathy! Their baby girl, Natalie, has arrived. I photographed her when she was 12 days old at her home. This sweet girl loved to be swaddled, held, and gave me a few of her precious smiles. Pictures are adorable and amazing! Congrats you two, can’t wait to meet and see little Natalie in person someday!       Our sweet baby girl just turned 18 months today. This little gal is a Pistol!! Her speech is probably through the roof for her age, she will repeat just about anything you throw at her and is rampantly pointing things out by name. Today two school buses drove by and she promptly pointed and said, “Busss! Busss!” Our favorite thing is to ask her, “What’s your name?” to which she replies, “Mini!!” And then we ask, “How old are you?” and she says, “Wone!” She constantly asks for walks outside, loves worms, birds, dogs, well really any creature. She is a fun loving spunky little thing and we can’t get enough of her (but don’t think she doesn’t drive me crazy sometimes! haha). Tonight we took her to her favorite dinner, sushi, to celebrate her half birthday. She is going to be able to out-eat us at sushi in no time. We’ve been putting her on the potty from time to time, talking about it, and one of her favorite books is about the Potty. Tonight before her bath I held her up on it (she didn’t want to use her small one on the floor she wanted to sit on the real deal), Greg turned on the water faucet and sang her a song and low and behold….tinkle tinkle! Can you believe that?! I couldn’t. 18 months! A Huge grin broke out over her face. I was totally freaking out, Greg remaining much more calm. I let her “wipe” and then she got to flush the toilet and we said good-bye to the pee-pee LOL. We took these photos at Laurelhurst park just one week ago on that gorgeous weekend we had. Let me tell you…18 months is a HARD age to photograph. All I have to say is thank goodness for mini-marshmallows. Can you see her signing “Please” in one of the photos? Of course I forgot my tripod, so none of the three of us together. Sigh. Next time : ) Happy Half Birthay Sweet Pea! We love you. –Dada & Mama

She’s changing so fast and so much! Just adorable!!! love you guys! xo Last weekend was abnormally gorgeous and warm here in Portland, OR. And the good weather lasted into Monday for my maternity session with Laura. We met at the Hoyt Arboretum to take these on the Magnolia Trail. I was pretty sure they would still be in bloom and was thrilled to find them in full effect. Laura and Phil were so sweet to work with. Great pictures! Wow, everyday brings more excitement & wonderful memories to share..It will be nice to share pictures from this time period with Baby as she gets older to see how Mommy and Daddy & everyone is & were eagerly waiting her arrival….. Waiting, waiting, waiting for baby. And actually this little gal should be arriving any day now! I’m excited to meet this little one and I’m sure her mom, dad and doggie can hardly stand the wait. We took these maternity portraits at the E’s home in Portland, Oregon. It was drizzly when I got there and sunny when I left…typical Oregon weather. Loved the photos,just beautiful. Just can’t wait for the news! Little Wren was a pleasure to work with! We did lots of rocking to fall asleep, but I enjoyed it and her mama and grandmother were so nice to spend the morning with. Her wakefulness also gave us some gorgeous shots of her eyes. Not all newborns look this great with their eyes open ; ) Congratulations on your perfect little girl! I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend with your families and friends!

Katie’s patience and expertise as she worked with Wren were truly impressive! She has a magic touch with babies and seems to know just what to do to soothe and encourage “just one more” pose!! And . . . the proof is certainly in the pudding!!! Look at these wonderful images of Little Miss Wren!!!
